How will i feel after drinking absinthe?

Well, there a two different conditions that may occur, just to discredit an old myth

After drinking any kind of absinthe or absinthe based spirit you will feel exactly
the same way as you would after any strong alcoholic drink.
All the absinthes that can be found nowadays contain a limited amount of Thujone
(the active ingredient responsible for the 1915 banning) as is required by the FDA,
so the only risk of drinking a few glasses is a serious hangover…

On the other hand, a 1800 vintage bottle in which the concentration of Thujone
was not controlled, would have the narcotic effect of the Thujone.
This effect is enhanced by the alcohol and this reaction used to be the origin of its devastating reputation.
